NEUROSIS new record out in October

Oakland's NEUROSIS has a new record hitting stores, webstores and distro tables on October through the band’s own Neurot Recordings, in Germany October 26th, in the rest of Europe October 29th, and in North America on October 30th, with their cohorts at previous label home Relapse Records confirmed to handle the vinyl release of the album.

Scott Kelly and his buddies (current band's line-up being completed by Steve Von Till - Guitars, Vocals, Filters & Textures,  Dave Edwardson - Bass, Moog Synthesizer & Space, Noah Landis - Organ, Piano, Samples & Atmospheres Jason Roeder - Drums Josh Graham - Visual Media) spawn out of the San Francisco's Bay Area hardcore punk scene in 1985 progressively evolved into a monolith of heaviness, outerspace atmospheres and a trip in music and visuals that inspired many bands to surface on the heavy music scene in the years since band's inception.
The new album "Honor Found In Decay", which follows-up to 2007's "Given To The Rising", will reaffirm to the planet why NEUROSIS remain one of the most important heavy acts in existence.

They shot a visual trailer created for their highly anticipated tenth studio full-length.

Using imagery shot and created by Neurosis' visual artist Josh Graham, video architect Kenneth Thomas (also responsible for producing the mini-documentary for NEUROSIS’ 2007-released Given To The Rising) has masterfully edited together an intense look into the new opus. For the first time in the band's history, intimate details of Josh Graham's hand crafted artwork have been made publicly available, allowing the installation to be viewed in motion, not just still photographs. The video also includes personal commentary from guitarists/vocalists Scott Kelly and Steve Von Till on the creation of Honor Found In Decay, as well as the first brief moments of audio to be publicly unleashed.

States Steve Von Till in the early moments of the preview, "A legacy can only be assured if we continually burn down the past and plant seeds in the ashes to grow new, greater things," and is followed by founding member Scott Kelly, who boldly affirms, "If you don't make a record that you think eclipses your previous record, then... you've failed."
