POLYBIUS debutes with the album As The World Burns

Post metallers, Codogno, Italy based POLYBIUS recorded their debut full-length record and are now looking for labels to sign to. This young up and coming combo comes from a very varied musical background that it is mixed in their challenging proposal.

Polybius’ new album “As the World Burns”
reflects the musical influences of the band members.
Whilst listening to “As the World Burns”, a variety of genres can be heard, from classic heavy metal, to blasts of extreme metal. Also heard are genres similar to nu and Gothenburg styled death metal.
Their work is enriched with references to bands better known outside the world of metal, giving it a furious, claustrophobic vibe. The blistering rhythms and fine guitar work come together to form an absolute melodic marvel.
The concept for this album originated from a discussion about war, and analyses the squalid and alienating aspects and issues that war brings. The album also explores the feelings of loneliness, remorse and insanity that war breeds, all whilst taking place in a haunting post-nuclear environment. This is truly a perfect soundscape to compliment the dark, melancholic issues that the album explores.
“As the World Burns” proves itself to be more than just an album. It could perhaps be considered an ideal soundtrack for a dynamic, contemplative, introspective journey of the mind.

Here you can hear some samples of three tracks taken off  "As The World Burns".
